Our program seeks to demystify the field of engineering and remove barriers and assumptions that might stand in the way of students pursuing this exciting career path. 

We will introduce students to engineering programs at three different types of schools (private/liberal arts, public/university, and public/technical college), as well as the practical utilization of engineering degrees in a variety of professional roles working with local manufacturing businesses. 

We aim to help students clearly see a path that allows them to pursue an interest in engineering beyond high school, and to understand the different facets of engineering, as well as the many different types of engineers that exist. 

By making the study and profession of engineering more transparent, we hope to “light the spark” of inspiration in students that allows them to envision themselves in these settings and roles in their future. 

By connecting with students early in their high school careers, we expect to increase engagement in their current curriculum by proving the relevance of their coursework to the real world.
